Meet Chef miguel diaz

I was born on November 29, 1987, in Tijuana, BC, Mexico, where I spent my childhood. When I’m not spending time with my family or working, I find joy in riding my motorcycle and playing soccer. As a child, I often dreamed of being an airplane pilot, a reflection of my adventurous spirit. I attended culinary school for a brief time, but I ultimately decided to leave before finishing, feeling that it wasn't the best fit for me. Instead, I found my calling in education and sports, earning my degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC). This decision came from a deep passion for sports and a genuine desire to help others grow, no matter their field. The most significant lesson I learned throughout my education was the importance of loyalty and self-confidence, values that I carry with me every day. After spending some time in education, I felt compelled to revisit my culinary aspirations. I chose the hospitality industry because it offers the unique opportunity to serve and connect with others. There’s something truly rewarding about knowing that my efforts can positively impact someone’s day. I also appreciate the balance between quality service and the operational aspects of running a business. What sets me apart in my profession is my commitment to fostering a strong team spirit. I believe that a cohesive team can navigate any challenge with ease. My goal is to inspire a spirit of service and camaraderie among my coworkers, ensuring everyone feels valued and empowered. One of my most cherished memories was during my first selection process to become an executive chef for a corporation. Presenting dishes to a panel of esteemed individuals during the tasting stage was thrilling, and it filled me with pride to meet their expectations. This experience reminded me just how exhilarating it is to pursue our passions and the connections we build along the way.
